Blu-ray. That's enough to put the PS3 over the Xbox 360, because the PS3 will play Blu-ray movies and the Xbox 360 will not. The cost of an Xbox 360 and a Blu-ray player is far more than if you just bought a PS3 system. Xbox will let you play Netflix movies online whereas the PS3 will not, but hopefully that will change soon.

Xbox Live vs. PlayStation Network. It doesn't cost anything to play online via the PlayStation Network, and the PS3 even includes a wireless adapter built into the system. To play online with Xbox Live, it costs you $50 a year. Either way, you'll still have to deal with the same griefers and trolls who annoy other gamers. At least with the PS3 you won't have to pay for it. Sony makes better stuff than Microsoft.

Games. More games are available for the PlayStation system than are for the Xbox 360. Most of the PS2 catalogue is available, but even nowadays almost all the top games (Batman: Arkham Asylum, for example) are released simultaneously for both systems. Xbox has the Halo games and PS3 has the Resistance games and Killzone 2. I'm not saying either system has better games, but the PS3 has more games and can play most of the same stuff you can on an Xbox 360.
